The DUNI non-ferrous metal foundry was awarded a special recognition for promoting regional development at the Lider Investment Conference, held on Friday in Zagreb. The award was presented by Miodrag Šajatović, editor-in-chief of Lider, and accepted by Dragutin Ulama, the company's director and owner.

On the occasion, Mr Ulama stated:
The machine itself was slightly modified for this purpose, with new tools as well as state-of-the-art digital measuring tools purchased along with it, while the employees that would be operating the machine received extensive training. The main reasons for purchasing the machine were primarily to ensure high-quality and regular deliveries to our customers, in particular to the world-famous company Danfoss, a leading valve manufacturer, for which we have been producing very demanding valve components for many years. Equally important reasons were increasing productivity and digitalising the machining facility. The 90-thousand-euro investment, financed through a loan with a subsidized interest rate that was provided by HAMAG-BICRO (The Croatian Agency for SMEs, Innovations and Investments), proved justified within the first few weeks of commissioning.
